Clear Crystal Cigar Ashtray with Dome

The crystal domed cigar ashtray.
A precision-cut channel in the crystal base accommodates any cigar up to a 74 ring gauge. A precision-milled brass tapper, made to mirror the dome's handle, doubles as a cigar rest and delivers a clean ash.
The Object: Cigar preserves the mass, finish, and silhouette of the original while refining its point of contact. Set the dome over a resting cigar and it extinguishes gently, over time. Not ruined. Rested. Inside the dome, the smoke moves slowly, hypnotically, until the particulates settle against the crystal. Pick it up later. Relight. Continue.
Limited to 50 sets. Individually numbered.
Pair it with The Rest, a blackened rift-sawn white oak base finished with Shou Sugi Ban, precision-milled to fit the dome.
Developed in collaboration with Brian Telford of Telford's Pipe & Cigar in Mill Valley, a family-run tobacconist since 1970.
We partnered with Bavaria's premier glass innovator, Stumpe Glas, and Czechia's prestige crystal foundry, Bomma, to craft The Object: Cigar. Every part engineered to our exacting specifications.

Ships in a custom wooden crate made in Germany, finished with Shou Sugi Ban to match The Rest. Your card will be charged at time of order. We'll be in touch to confirm your shipping details ahead of the July dispatch.
Customized engraving on the bottom of the ashtray is included free with purchase.
There is a 25 character (including spaces) limit.

We work with six family-run, prestige manufacturers across three European countries to produce each Object: Cigar set. Fifth-generation craftspeople. The same foundries and workshops that produce heritage work for Tiffany, Tom Dixon, and LVMH.
The Object: Cigar is limited to 50 sets. Each is individually numbered and comes with an unreproducible proof of originality ensuring provenance and authenticity.
We modeled the mechanics of our proof on how Banksy's official representatives, Pest Control, validate his work.
- Each set ships with a Jeremy Tinder designed letterpress card, printed at San Francisco's Aesthetic Union
- Each card has a unique three-word passphrase written on the back
- Every card is numerically keyed to its corresponding numbered set
- The card is torn in half by hand, creating a unique tear pattern
- We photograph and record the tear pattern, passphrase, and numeric matching, and keep this on file
- We will validate authenticity through careful examination of these proofs
